Fiji One News (Suva, Fiji) An inventory protocol training was conducted this week for Landowning Unit reps, National Trust of Fiji, Naitasiri Provincial Office and IAS Environment Unit staff by the Ministry of Forests Forest Resource Assessment and Conservation (FRAC) Division in the upper Waidina Catchment.

The inventory will assess the intensity of invasive trees like the African tulip and vines like Merremia peltata within the 5 km buffer zone of the Sovi Basin Protected Area.

The training was held at Wainawaqa Village.

This activity is part of the Fiji Ridge to Reef Project funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented in Fiji by UNDP and the Ministry of Environment.
